Yes, this happens when using the Epson printer driver. You can install a 2nd driver that will not do that and it's faster. Open the Control Panel | Printers & Faxes. Click on Add Printer. Repeat the install as you did before only use the Generic Manufacturer for Generic / Text Only printers. This driver comes with Window 2000 and XP
